Sardana Nikolaeva

Dr. Sardana Nikolaeva is a postdoctoral fellow with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Toronto. Her current work with the CENIT project focuses on the socio-technical dynamics of the digital divide, particularly among Indigenous peoples, and developing community research partnerships. Previously, she served as an inaugural postdoctoral fellow of Ziibiing Lab (Global Indigenous Politics Collaboratory) at the Department of Political Science. Sardana holds a PhD in Education from the University of Pittsburgh and a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Manitoba. Her research interests include Indigenous politics, extractivism, inequities in the Indigenous Arctic, epistemic violence and Indigenous research ethics.
