Philip is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream and Dean’s Advisor for Black Inclusivity in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto, where he is affiliated with Institute for Studies in Transdisciplinary Engineering Education and Practice, the Division of Engineering Science, and (by courtesy) the Edward S. Rogers Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interests are in the intersection of people and technology, and currently approaches this work through the lens of innovation ecosystems. Philip holds a Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.
